Come along to a talk by MARK CHAPMAN , Associate Professor at Southampton University.
The main themes in his laboratory are
- Speciation, Adaptation and Hybridization in the wild
- Domestication and Crop evolution
The lab work involves investigating plant genomes and computational data processing. The research has to account for environmental and geographic factors. They are currently exploring the nutritional value and climate resilience of minor crops, such as broad beans.
